The Moonstone Appeal has brought together a dynamic Appeal Committee, led by Chairman Michael Gelder who has a long career in the banking industry and has also led successful appeals following the Tsunami in 2004 delivering over 160 fishing boats, over 200 homes, a community building and 2 schools.
Other members of the Appeal Committee cover areas such as Accountancy, Financial Planning, Research and Networking with businesses within the Bristol area.
The Patron of the Appeal is former Broadcaster, Cricketer and Rugby Player Alastair Hignell who won the 2008 BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award for raising awareness about MS.
The professionals leading the design and construction of the new centre are Architects ID Partnership and and Quantity Surveyors Holbrow Brookes; the building contract has been awarded to Elliott Off Site who expect to complete construction by the end of October 2011.
