Classic Bike Ride 2009

Sunday 27th September

The Classic Bike Ride is organised by Ivor and Karen Marsh in association with the MS Therapy Centre in Nailsea, Bristol.  The run hopes to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and raise funds for the Centre.

The run will be over a way-marked route with written directions from the MS Centre at Nailsea then around the Cotswolds.  There will be two stops en-route, one tea break stop and one lunchtime stop of approximately 1 ½ hours.  The run will be in the form of a “fun run” with a maximum speed of 50mph and we aim to finish in a “watering hole” somewhere in the Cotswolds (tbc).

The run is open to any “Classic” or “British” motorcycle manufactured before 1975.  All machines and riders must be road legal and all road regulations must be obeyed.

The entry fee is £10.00 per machine plus you are invited to make a suggested, but voluntary donation of £10.00 or if you fundraise over £50 we will give you your registration fee back!

The closing date for entries will be Friday 11 September.  There will be no entries on the day.
Awards will be made for the following:

  • Best machine on the run
  • Best “velocette” on the run
  • Plus other awards on the day

The Classic Bike Ride run reserves the right to change details of the event without notice
